The Valdosta-Lowndes County Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to providing decent, affordable housing in partnership with those in need throughout our community.

The Habitat affordable housing model is unique, and has been successful locally and around the world. This innovative solution brings the skills and resources of the Valdosta community together to make a lasting difference to local families and neighborhoods in need. By leveraging private financing, limited government funds for land, community leadership, and skilled staff and board, and thousands of volunteers, we are able to create new opportunities for homeownership and neighborhood revitalization.

We invite people of all races, religions and backgrounds to unite with us in our mission to eliminate substandard housing.

Some people raise a hammer, some people raise funds and other people raise awareness. No matter what your interest, experience or skills, the Valdosta-Lowndes County Habitat has a place for you!

Although we are a Christian organization, we do not seek to convert our volunteers or our homeowners. Around the world and within the United States, we serve those in need, whoever they may be. We gratefully welcome help from all who want to join our fight to make simple, decent housing a matter of conscience.
