The ReStore is a building materials recycling center. It is a great place to get rid of all those building supplies left over from your last home improvement project. It can also save businesses the expense associated with scrapping surplus materials. The ReStore also accepts general household items such as blinds, sheets, ceiling fans, paint, furniture and more. It is a great place to recycle household items from your last home improvement project.  The Donated items are sold to the public at low-cost prices. All proceeds benefit the Valdosta-Lowndes County Habitat for Humanity.

Volunteer Your Time

Office
Mondays-Fridays
9am-5pm
Duties: answer phone, greet visitors, perform office maintenance

ReStore
Thursday-Saturdays
Hours vary by day
Duties: display, sort, and price stock, assist customers, test and repair large appliances

Jobsite*
Tuesdays-Saturdays
8am-4pm
Duties: serve as site host/hostess, paint, landscape, provide meals, clean-up

Committees
Meetings are held monthly for the following committees: Church Relations, Construction, Family Selection, Family Support

*All jobsite volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Groups with minors (anyone under 18) should plan to have one adult (21 or older) present for every 5 minors. Contact the Volunteer Coordinator for a list of activities appropriate for those under 16.

Each volunteer must complete a Release Waiver Form.

PLEASE NOTE: All volunteers with court ordered community service must give the Volunteer Coordinator a copy of the papers which state the offense and number of community service hours assigned. This information is kept confidential but is required before beginning community service hours with our Habitat Affiliate.
