We help children, families, and communities break the cycle of poverty by empowering people of all ages to dream, aspire and achieve.

Homeownership

Habitat for Humanity builds decent and affordable homes around the world in partnership with families in need of a decent place to live. Habitat homebuyers help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Our homes look different around the world to fit in with the many styles and traditions found in the communities where the houses are built.

Aging In Place

Through our Aging in Place program, Habitat helps older adults age at home and in communities of their choice. Our local Habitat affiliates collaborate with human services organizations to evaluate individual needs and provide critical home repairs, modifications and community services specific to each homeowner’s lifestyle to preserve their home and their independence. This program is funded by donations and grants. Therefore, the scope of repairs and the number of repairs is limited by the amount of funding received annually.

Aging In Place

Veterans Program

Habitat for Humanity reaches out to our disabled military veterans residing in the surrounding communities to assist with critical repairs to their homes. They must be homeowners, not renters, and honorably discharged from their military branch. This program is funded by donations and grants. Therefore, the scope of repairs and the number of repairs is limited by the amount of funding received annually.
