Aging In Place and Veterans Repairs Ministry Program
Through the Aging in Place and Veterans Repairs Ministry Program, Habitat aids Veterans, disabled persons and older adults assisting with critical home repairs specific to each homeowner’s lifestyle needs to preserve their ability to stay safely in their home and maintain their independence. They must be homeowners, not renters of the home needing critical repair. This program is funded by donations and grants. Therefore, the scope and number of repairs is limited by the amount of funding received annually.
*Critical Repairs Only (Threat to life, limb, and/or eyesight).
*We are unable to provide services for Plumbing Repairs, Sewer/Septic Repairs, Electrical Repairs.
*Absolutely no renovations or demolition of property.
*Qualified repairs up to $2,500 (filling the application out does not automatically qualify you).
*Age 65 and above/or age 64 and below with a disability or be a Veteran of the Armed Forces.
*Applicants must own and reside in the home needing the repair (No rental properties).
*30-60 day wait time upon application approval.
